Dr. Allison Sheppard is a Doctorate-prepared Family Nurse Practitioner with over 14 years of clinical experience. She founded CGS Medical with one goal in mind: to deliver the kind of personalized, high-quality care that every patient deserves — convenient, compassionate, and built for lasting results.

Her Story

driven by patients
After 14 years of caring for patients, Dr. Sheppard knew exactly what was missing from modern healthcare — and she built CGS Medical to fill that gap. Not another rushed clinic where you're just a chart number, but a practice where you feel valued, heard, and genuinely cared for.
She earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), graduating with honors.
Outside of work, she’s married with two wild and rambunctious boys. As a family, they love to travel any chance they get — and in the little spare time she can find, she enjoys caring for her chickens and tending to their home.
She founded CGS Medical on the belief that healthcare should be accessible to everyone. Too many patients — especially the uninsured — are forced to turn to emergency rooms or urgent care facilities for conditions that deserve consistent, thoughtful care from a provider who knows them.
CGS Medical operates statewide across South Carolina through telehealth, removing the barrier of travel and wait times while keeping the quality of care personal and thorough.
